LMAO, ok this is not a repost. It is true. I got my ass fired again.
What had happen was.
The last few weeks at the dealership have been incredibly slow. The traffic had been down to a crawl. Everybody including myself was frustrated. On last Wednesday our finance manager was out, so my GM was going over files he wasn’t familiar with. He comes out of the finance office to the lobby area where all the sales guys were sitting and directly outside of my office and asks about a customer that happened to be mine.
The customer had been up to the dealership, but is wife was very pregnant. In fact she had their baby the next day. My GM asks me why hadn’t the customer been back up to purchase the car. I told him that he would come up once he and his wife got situated from having the baby. He replies that having a baby wasn’t a good reason for not being back up to the dealership. I calmly say, he will be back up; it’s no problem I already talked to him. Which I had. He goes on to say; well his wife isn’t paying the note so he should be back up here. At this point I am a little pissed and I tell him, stop tripping he will be back up here. He then says, well you need to call him and get him up here. Now I am pissed because he has asked me about this customer 3 times. So I tell him I already told you he will be back up here now leave it alone.

Maybe calling this woman a dummie is a bit much, but then again sometimes you have to call a spade a spade. On a local Atlanta news station they did a special report about a woman that attempted to purchase a vehicle on Ebay. Purchasing a vehicle online site unseen is not as uncommon as you would think. We have at least one or two purchases a month from people from around the country that may see a vehicle online and purchase it without seeing the vehicle in person. We will do a wire transfer of the money, set up a transporter to deliver the vehicle and call it a day.
This particular woman was searching for a 05′ BMW 645 Convertible. She found someone selling that vehicle from overseas on Ebay. They sold the vehicle to her for $12,000. They had her to wire the money to their account but she never received the vehicle. It turns out that the seller was a complete fraud and actually never was associated with Ebay at all. The proposed seller set up fake Ebay documents so that it looked like they were a legit Ebay vendor.
Now I am sorry that this lady lost her money. I truly am. Sometimes you really have to ask yourself what the hell are some people thinking when they do things. As I mentioned in my car buying 101 entry if a car price is a lot cheaper than what the rest of the market is asking, there is probably something wrong with the vehicle. Not only was there something wrong with the vehicle, this vehicle never existed.
The other thing I mentioned is to do your research when purchasing a vehicle. If this woman had done her research on this vehicle she would have known that the price of this vehicle would range between $67,000 and $75,000. There is no way in hell she could have honestly thought that she could get this vehicle for $12,000.
I don’t care if Mr. BMW himself said he would give you a hook up, that vehicle is not going cost $12,000. So as Fred Sanford would say to his beloved son Lamont. You BIG DUMMIE!
Say it with me, If it looks too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.

There are a couple of things I would like to pass on to those of you that are in the car buying market. We all eventually end up having to buy a car so these are some tips for everybody. Hopefully these tips and definitions will be beneficial to you or anyone you know that is purchasing a vehicle. If you have any other questions about the car buying process leave a comment and I will try to answer to the best of my ability.
1. Educate yourself about the car you are buying. If you want to get a good deal on a car that’s the first step. Utilize the internet. Go to sites like cars.com and do a search of the area for the vehicle you are interested in purchasing. The site will pull up cars in the area and you can get a good idea of what the market is asking.

Now this entry will cover two of the new categories at once. The Car Sale and TTBS (That’s That Bull Shit). The dealership I work for sales about 70% high-end cars. From time to time we get a turd in. Usually that turd (a piece of shit lol) comes in as a trade somebody brought in.
The other day we get a 93 Altima in as a trade. We listed the car for $1,900 dollars on our website. The car had a strong engine, but the car needed some work. The car is 13 years old. The body of the car was in pretty good shape. From a distance it looked very good. But, if you get right up on the car you can see there was some minor bodywork done to it, but it wasn’t done very well. But again we are talking about a 93 Altima.
The car’s interior wasn’t in good shape. The only real problem inside the car was that it didn’t have a radio. Actually somebody had installed one of those radios that you take the face off and didn’t leave the faceplate of the radio when they traded the car.
