Freaky Good Man

What’s up people. Been a little busy and need to catch up with the blog. The last time I posted was getting ready to enjoy my B-day week. So here is a quick update on what I did.

My b-day was Monday the 27th.

Sunday 26th - A good friend and business associate came to town so we had drinks Sunday night. Craig is a white guy from the UK, so I brought in my b-day at midnight laughing, drinking Jack and Coke and hearing this dude say “mate” every other sentence.

Monday 27th - Slept in that day as I had been on the road to Mississippi Friday and Saturday for business. That night my mom took me to dinner for my favorite dinner a nice juicy steak and baked potato. She was kind enough to let us sit at the bar to watch the NBA playoffs as well. This old drunk white guy sat next to us and talked us to death, but he was pretty funny and bought me a b-day drink.

Tuesday 28th - Slept in again. lol Hey it’s my b-day week. Went over to my grandparents house where my uncle cooked one of my other favorites - ribs. They had me a half slab of ribs ready for me when I got there. They were so damn good. My uncle can throw down on the grill and in the kitchen.

Wednesday 29th - This was movie day and basketball night. During the day I went to see Beyonce’s movie Obsessed and Jamie Foxx’s movie The Soloist. Obsessed was a decent movie, but nothing to write home about and of course was pretty predictable. The Soloist was entertaining and I think Jamie did a great job, but again nothing that blew me away. I would say both were worth the price of admission however. Later that night, the Hawks played and I got home in time to watch them play and have a nice diner.

Thursday 30th - Got back to work during the day, but met a good friend of mine out for drinks at Happy hour. Had a great time out downtown at an old spot, but a new Thursday night hangout, Shout. For those in Atlanta, the people that hosted the Leopard Lounge spot on Thursday night have taken the show over to Shout. Apparently Leopard Lounge is still jumping, but I think as the summer rolls on Shout will be real nice for Thursday night. Especially for those late 20’s and up. Ended up running into a couple of my homeboys there as well. Real proud of those cats. One is an assistant coach for the Detroit Pistons.

Friday 1st - Went to Taboo 2. Got my drink and dance on. Had a real good time hanging out. The spot was packed with lovely ladies. Had a blast.

Saturday 2nd - Went to the Bistro on the southside. Ohhhweee, the ratio was niceeee. Once again, good music to get my dance on and the drinks were flowing. Had a good time.

Sunday 3rd - Went to dinner and a movie with a new female I met out Thursday night. We had a good time and laughed a lot. She seemed like she had some promise, but she blew that the very next night. I will write about that shortly.

That’s how I celebrated my b-day. It was something every night and I truly had a good time. I did not get into any freakiness like I had hoped. In fact, I actually didn’t even get laid. But, shit happens sometime. I got to enjoy myself, spent some quality time with family and friends.

Sunday was scheduled to be the night I went to the swingers club, but the female that said she was down flaked out on me and got scared. I could tell she was a little suspect about following through, but it’s all good.
