As I mentioned on my other post, I want to thank everyone that prayed for my grandfather. I have always been one that believes in corporate prayer where there is a collective prayer for something specific by a body or group of people. In my mind there is nothing that can explain my grandfathers turn around other than prayer.
The reason I am bringing this up is that I was IMed the other day by one of my readers and she really touched me. She IMed me out of the blue to just check on me and to see if I was ok and to let me know that she missed reading my blog.
She shared with me that she had gotten out of her shell a bit after reading my adventures and with her last boyfriend she decide to be a little more open sexually. Some of you may say why is that relevant in a post about prayer. This same woman was recently diagnosed with cancer and was about to have surgery to remove the tumor.
Two things really hit me when she shared that. The first thing I did was took the time to pray for her while we were chatting, sometimes things are bigger than you and all you can do is pray on a persons behalf. Secondly, it touched me that even with what she was going through my writing gave her some joy in her live. She was able to be more adventurous because of what she read and she was entertained while reading it.
I ask those of you reading this that believe in Jesus Christ to pray for the healing and upliftment of Mimi and her family as she makes a full recovery from her cancer.
Lastly, to Mimi you touched me and I thank you for doing so. I hope that you are staying strong through your surgery and chemo. God Bless!
