Nothing major happened this weekend, but it was enjoyable. I have a few thoughts so this won’t be a weekend recap but more of a Brain Dump.
For starters, I have gotten back into Peer2Peer file sharing. I use to use Kazaa and had a blast until I killed my hard drive from downloading there. I had kept hearing about a site called Limewire, but was very hesitant to check it out after my Kazaa experience. But, I missed my music so much that this weekend I gave it a shot and it is so lovely. I am sure there are others out there using limewire, but for those that don’t you need to check it out. It seems to do a good job of filtering bad files. But, if you don’t have a virus protection, I would still be cautious using it.
In addition to creating this incredible music collection when I was on Kazaa, I was also able to download some pretty good porn. Guess what? Limewire seems to have a nice selection of porn to download as well. So all of you porn connoisseurs not only can you bulk up your music collection; you can get you a nice porn stash as well. I also used Kazaa to download software as well. I haven’t checked out limewire’s software selection, put from what I can see so far, I am sure it probably has some good stuff on there.
The first thing I downloaded on limewire was the full KEM Album II. Good shit. I have to say I think this cat is my favorite artist. His first album was on point and the sophomore follow up seems to be just as tight from start to finish. I am going to have to take a weekend trip to go see him in concert somewhere or maybe an overnight trip, who knows. Al Jarreua has always been my all time favorite, so those that like KEM understand why I really like them. He really sounds a lot more like Al on this album than last. Sometimes he would sound like Seal in some of his songs, which isn’t bad.
Two of his songs I have been playing to death. I Can’t Stop Loving You and Heaven. There is a lyric in Heaven that is just like wow to me as a man. Here is the lyric: Something is happening to me. The man I use to be, he is gone, he gave up his life so I could go on.
As a single man, I can just relate to the depth of that. Giving up my escapades to be with one. The man I use to be gave up his life so I could go on. Damn, getting mushy. lol How about them Falcons. I will post the lyrics to both songs at the end of the Brain Dump.
Next thing, I am truly crazy. I have been scratched on my cornea I think 4 times playing flag football. But, I can’t give up the damn game. It’s something about going into battle with 15 to 20 guys that are willing to get your back for a common goal that is addicting. The competitiveness of sports is something wonderful. If I can just remember to wear my damn protective eyewear I will be fine. I can deal with the bumps and bruises. I know some of you are like bumps and bruises playing flag football? Yep. There are several levels of flag. In the two most competitive levels of flag, there is contact allowed like in regular football. You see tackling, people getting steamed rolled or pancaked as we like to call it, busted lips, dislocated limbs, etc. etc. So, it’s not the same flag that your kids play. Well it is, but it isn’t.
We have guys that play that also have or are playing in Division I college, the Canadian Football League, Arena Football and semi-pro ball. Even a few ex-NFL guys. We played one of our most hated rivals today. They have one particular Caucasian guy on their team that has been known to say nigga a few times in a person’s ear away from the referee and try to get a penalty on the guy who he said it to when they retaliate. I am happy to report we took care of his ass. He left the game with a busted lip and a dislocated shoulder. In fact, he got punched in the face twice on the second play of the game by one of our guys. Now I didn’t condone it, but hey got to send a message. Oh and we won the game 14 – 0.
I did get out and get my dance on last night. I was trying to hit this new Jazz club in Marietta, but it wasn’t open. I couldn’t figure that out, they just had their Grand opening a week or two ago. For those in Atlanta, I will keep you posted about it. It’s a young black female that opened it up. So, it’s a must to show some support. It’s off of Cobb parkway on Spring Rd. across from the Nalley Lexus dealership.
Ok I am done, here are the lyrics for the two songs I mentioned earlier.
Heaven
I see the way you look at me. As if to say, it’s right. I pray for you day in and day out. Something is happening to me. The man I use to be, he is gone, he gave up his life so I could go on. Girl, on into Heaven with a love of a lifetime resides in you. Girl there is Heaven in you baby. It’s so meant to be. In this place where two souls collide there is no pain, no fear, only you and I. Something is happening to me, The man I use to be is gone, he gave up this life so I could go on. On into Heaven with a love of a lifetime, resides somewhere in you girl. I been looking for Heaven baby, see I spent my lifetime only to find, Heavens in you.
I Can’t Stop Loving You
I think about the day I met the perfect stranger. I think about us. I think about the day I got wrapped around your finger. I think about us. The sun was shining on you, the Lord was shining on me. And love was calling us, I had my mind made up. I can’t stop loving you. I can’t help my self. And I can’t get over you. No matter what I tell myself baby. Never thought I would love anyone else in my weakness, I think about us. And I think about the day you left without speaking, I think about us. I think about the love we have for our children, I think about us. I think about the way we laugh without a reason. I think about us girl, there will be no more like. Somebody tell me why I feel like I’m dying. Lord what has come over me. Oh baby cant you see. I can’t stop loving you. I can’t help myself.

Ok are you not loving that CD. As well as can I recommend the new Kindred and actually Charlie Wilson is not so bad (I did some sharing myself this weekend, lol) go over to Amazon.com - get the playlist and come on back to limewire, lol
Finally don’t sleep on Eric Benet. Not sure ‘why’ we are suppose to hate him and ruin this man career - but I really enjoy his new CD. Hurricane.

Oh my God! You need to also get Vivian Green’s newest CD. I love it! Also pick up Angie Stone’s greatest hits CD. Let me know what else you got so we can compare CDs. I don’t usually trust anyone else’s choice in music, but it seems that we may have the same likes in music.
